Liz Johnson del Gobierno del Condado de Orange Recibió el Premio a la Excelencia Ambiental

Orlando, Fla. – Recently, the National Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals recognized Orange County Government’s Liz Johnson for her three decades of contributions to the environmental profession with the 2018 Dr. Richard J. Kramer, CEP, Memorial Award for Environmental Excellence.

Johnson, who serves as assistant manager of Orange County’s Environmental Protection Division, was recognized for her exemplary leadership to the environmental profession and creative excellence in numerous areas of her profession, including environmental management, sustainability, community outreach and partnerships.

"Balancing a property owner's rights to a reasonable use of their property with environmental conservation is challenging to say the least," said David Jones, manager of Orange County's Environmental Protection Division. "Through her experience, expertise and communication abilities, Liz has negotiated this process time after time with impressive skill."

In addition to her vital role at Orange County, Johnson previously served with the St. Johns River Water Management District as a regulatory scientist supervisor, where she was involved in permitting a number of important projects in the community, including Baldwin Park — a development that serves as a great example of harmony between the built and natural environments.
