El Gobierno del Condado de Orange Organiza una Actividad de Emergencia para la Preparación para Huracanes como Parte de la Iniciativa "Llevemos a Nuestros Hijos e Hijas al Trabajo"
WHAT: In honor of the national “Día "Llevemos a Nuestros Hijos e Hijas al Trabajo"” on April 26, 2018, Orange County Government is sponsoring “Take Our Children to Work Day.” In addition to the activities planned by each department, Orange County Government with Mayor Teresa Jacobs and District 4 Commissioner Jennifer Thompson will host an interactive hurricane preparedness activity.
The purpose of the event is to provide students (ages 8-18) with a firsthand look at local government in action and how Orange County Government prepares its residents for emergency events, such as hurricanes. The kids will take on different emergency function roles - everything from Public Works to Law Enforcement to Fire to Public Information - and give press briefings. They will be given a scenario to work with from the Office of Emergency Management.
Following the activity, public safety officials will offer an interactive demonstration of public safety vehicles.
