Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs joined Florida Gov. Rick Scott to announce that Wyndham Destinations, Inc. has selected Orange County for their new global headquarters on June 1. The company will create 200 new jobs and make a $7.5 million capital investment in Orlando.<\/p>\n
\u201cWyndham Destinations is the latest in a growing list of companies that have recently decided to operate their headquarters in Orange County,\u201d Mayor Jacobs said. \u201cOur community\u2019s culture of collaboration has led to incredible economic development opportunities, and the creation of high-value jobs and significant capital investments in Orange County.\u201d<\/p>\n
This announcement marked the relocation of Wyndham Worldwide\u2019s headquarters from New Jersey to Orange County.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, I am proud to join Wyndham Destinations as they move their headquarters to Orlando and create 200 jobs in our state,\u201d said Florida Gov. Rick Scott. \u201cBy cutting taxes and creating an environment where our private sector can grow, we have made it easier for major businesses to move their operations to Florida. Wyndham Destinations made a great choice by picking Orlando for their headquarters.\u201d<\/p>\n
The move comes after the approval of the Qualified Target Industry (QTI) financial incentive for the project \u2013 the incentive is available for companies that create high wage jobs in targeted high value-added industries.<\/p>\n
