Orange County\u2019s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs has extended the deadline for the call to artists for its fall Art in the Chambers<\/em> exhibition and annual Sculpture on the Lawn<\/em> exhibition. The deadline for submissions for both is now Sept. 3, 2018.<\/p>\n

Deadline: Applications, resumes, images and other materials must be submitted electronically by midnight,\u00a0Monday, Sept. 3, 2018\u00a0to\u00a0<\/strong>www.callforentry.org<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Artists are invited to submit work \u2013 existing or conceptual \u2013 for the fourth annual Sculpture on the Lawn<\/em> exhibition, an outdoor display featured at the entrance to the Orange County Administration Center (201 S. Rosalind Ave.) in the heart of downtown Orlando, Florida, where the works are visible to approximately 10,000 people daily.<\/p>\n

The theme of \u201cDiversitastic!\u201d has been added to this year\u2019s exhibition, welcoming large-scale sculptures that celebrate diversity in our communities and the interweaving of different backgrounds, cultures and religions.<\/p>\n

Sculpture on the Lawn<\/em> is open to experienced professional sculptors as well as students and emerging artists who specialize in the design, construction and installation of outdoor sculptures. Up to four sculptures will be selected for display from October 2018 to September 2019. One of the sculptures will be selected from a student or emerging artist, if suitable.<\/p>\n

The Art in the Chambers<\/em> program presents two-dimensional visual art exhibitions in the Commission Chambers on the first floor of the Orange County Administration Center. Exhibitions are rotated three times a year, and the art is selected by the Public Art Review Board.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDiversitastic!\u201d theme supports the inaugural FusionFest<\/a>, November 24 and 25, 2018, a free two-day celebration in downtown Orlando, supported by Orange County Government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
