{"id":13445,"date":"2020-02-05T08:31:45","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T13:31:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ocfl.net\/?p=13445"},"modified":"2022-01-12T12:07:06","modified_gmt":"2022-01-12T17:07:06","slug":"forum-on-vaping-highlights-health-risks-for-adolescents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ocfl.net\/2020\/02\/forum-on-vaping-highlights-health-risks-for-adolescents\/","title":{"rendered":"Forum on Vaping Highlights Health Risks for Adolescents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings welcomed doctors from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nemours.org\/\">Nemours Children\u2019s Health System<\/a>\u00a0during a community forum and panel discussion on vaping, which was held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Board of County Commissioners&#8217; Chambers.\u00a0 The event was held to answer questions regarding the health risks, symptoms, and what parents and teens need to know about vaping-related illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, more than 1,000 cases of vaping-related illnesses have been reported to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/tobacco\/basic_information\/e-cigarettes\/index.htm\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> from 48 states and one U.S. territory this year.
