\"\"Orange County, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 As part of the recently announced Request for Information (RFI)<\/a> to gather input for a new recycling facility, Orange County and the Orange County Utilities Solid Waste Division announce the date and schedule for the next step, a Market Sounding event.<\/p>\n

The in-person event, set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 26, in the Venice Ballroom at the Orange County Renaissance Senior Center at 3800 S. Econlockhatchee Trail in Orlando, is open to potential project participants and supporters.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the event is to seek input into the planned release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) competitive bidding process for a long-term Public-Private Partnership for designing, constructing and operating the new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) within the county.<\/p>\n

The Market Sounding will include a discussion of Orange County\u2019s recycling program, regional recycling markets, updates since the RFI was released, plans for issuing a RFP, and other topics related to the project. There also will be time allotted for open discussion and questions\/answers.<\/p>\n

Additionally, transportation will be provided for participants to visit the dormant MRF at the Orange County Landfill and view the potential property available for project development.<\/p>\n

To insure appropriate resources at the Market Sounding, respondents are respectfully requested to RSVP by July 15 at\u00a0www.ocfl.net\/UtilitiesRSVP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A video recording will be provided after the event for viewing for those interested.<\/p>\n
