Orange County, Fla. \u2013\u00a0\u00a0 On Monday, February 17, 2020 the Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs Office<\/a> will unveil the latest Sculpture on the Lawn and Art in the Chambers exhibitions. The public is invited for a reception from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to meet\u00a0and celebrate the artists\u00a0as well as hear some interesting tidbits about the art. The reception will be held at the Orange County Administration Center, located at 201 S. Rosalind Ave. in Orlando.<\/p>\n

The Orange County Administration Center\u2019s Sculpture on the Lawn Program showcases five new\u00a0and dynamic sculptures. One of these sculptures was created by Dorothy Gillespie, a renowned painter, sculptor and artist with many works in Central Florida. As 2020 is the centennial of her birth, the Sculpture on the Lawn program is proudly celebrating and honoring Gillespie at the Opening Night Reception.<\/p>\n

In partnership with Orlando Museum of Art<\/a>, four new pieces are displayed within the Orange County Administration Center and the Orange County Board of County Chambers for all to see, free of charge, Monday through Friday during normal business hours, through June 26, 2020. Orlando Museum of Art has had some of its collection displayed in the Board Chambers since June 28, 2019. Many of these works are staying in the Chambers, and four pieces will be switched with new pieces of Orlando Museum of Art\u2019s collection.<\/p>\n
