\"OrangeOrange County, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Orange County is conducting a Roadway Conceptual Analysis (RCA) study to evaluate the addition of lanes to the existing two-lane section of Woodbury Road from Lake Underhill Road to State Road (SR) 50, about 1.5 miles. The study will also evaluate improvements to the intersections of Lake Underhill Road, Waterford Lakes Parkway, and SR 50 with Woodbury Road.<\/p>\n

The RCA study is Orange County\u2019s detailed project development process used to evaluate potential roadway improvement options and recommendations and address anticipated mobility needs of the corridor.\u00a0 In addition, the study will assess both social and environmental impacts associated with the planned road improvement.\u00a0 The proposed improvements will enhance traffic flow and safety in the area.\u00a0 By the end of the study, a final preferred alternative will be presented that incorporates public input with technical evaluations assessing the net benefits of the improvements.<\/p>\n

In light of COVID-19, the community meeting will be held virtually. The virtual community meeting is a free, live presentation that will be hosted over the internet.<\/p>\n

The virtual community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2020. The meeting will start at 6 p.m.<\/strong> with a welcome from your District 4 Commissioner, Maribel Gomez Cordero followed by a presentation regarding the study process and the roadway improvements that are being considered.\u00a0 Aerial maps, potential improvement concepts and other project related information will be available on the project website for your review and comment.\u00a0 There will also be a link to a brief online survey that we would like to use to get your input about certain aspects of the project.<\/p>\n

To access the virtual community meeting, please visit the project website www.woodburyroadstudy.com<\/a> and click on the virtual community meeting link provided on the homepage under \u201cUpcoming Meetings\u201d.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Study information including the presentation, and maps will also be posted on the project website (www.woodburyroadstudy.com) and made available for viewing 3 days in advance of the virtual community meeting.<\/p>\n
