Requirement for Uploading Notarized \u201cPage Two\u201d Removed\u2013 Saving Some 55,000 Sheets of Paper Per Year<\/em><\/p>\n

\"OrangeOrange County, Fla. <\/strong>\u2013 The Orange County Division of Building Safety is set to eliminate the requirement for uploading a signed and notarized copy of \u201cPage Two\u201d of the Permit Application in accordance with Florida Statute 713.135 (7)(b). This change is expected to save some 55,000 sheets of paper per year and can eliminate delays in issuing permits by reducing processing time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis process change underscores our commitment to simplify the permit process for our customers, streamline staff review for our staff, and improve sustainability by taking advantage of technology through electronic submittal of applications,\u201d said Tom Allen, Orange County Building Official.<\/p>\n

Since early 2023, the Division of Building Safety staff has been working with Orange County\u2019s Business Process Technology team to facilitate this change by integrating the updated requirements in the County\u2019s permitting review software.<\/p>\n

Customers will be notified of this change through emailed newsletters, web page content, and in the Fast Track system. In addition, staff will be available to assist customers through the transition. In the rare instance of the acceptance of a paper application, the requirement for notarized signatures will remain in place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
