Traffic will continue to move in both directions during the project<\/em><\/p>\n

Orange County, Fla. <\/strong>\u2013 Orange County Public Works is preparing for a repaving project along South Dean Road. Beginning Monday, July 22, crews will be working on Dean Road between Curry Ford Road and Lake Underhill Road.<\/p>\n

The road will be repaved through a combination of cold in-place base recycling and milling and overlaying asphalt. During cold in-place base recycling, the existing asphalt is ground, mixed with additives, and reused on-site. Milling and overlaying is a common pavement rehabilitation technique where the existing pavement surface is milled to remove damaged or worn asphalt, followed by the application of a new layer of asphalt. The process will enhance the durability of the road while reducing waste and the need for new materials.<\/p>\n

Crews will work Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.\u00a0 Intermittent lane closures will be required; however, traffic will be maintained in both directions throughout the project. Variable message boards are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming project.<\/p>\n

Weather and other conditions permitting, the project should be complete by the end of August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
