Demings and held its first meeting in January 2025. In response to the significant inmate population increase at the Orange County Jail over the past two years, and the costs associated with incarceration and healthcare, the Commission was tasked with examining best practices across the criminal justice system and making recommendations for improvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Monday, June 23, 2025<br \/>\n3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Orange County Board of County Commissioners Chambers<br \/>\n201 South Rosalind Ave., First Floor<br \/>\nOrlando, FL 32801<\/p>\n<p>The Commission meeting is open to the public and will include opportunities for public comment. Information about the Commission is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocfl.net\/boardofcommissioners\/mayor\/jailoversightcommission.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ocfl.net\/jailoversight<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings will be recorded and aired on Orange TV www.ocfl.net\/OrangeTV, or Orange TV (Channel 488 on Spectrum (formerly Bright House),
