\"\"Orange County, FL<\/strong> \u2013 The 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee \u2013 charged with making recommendations for the expansion of the Orange County Commission, from six to eight districts \u2013 will hold a map discussion meeting.<\/p>\n

The committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025, will start at 6 p.m. within the Orange County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801.<\/p>\n

Following the discussion, any maps affirmed by the committee will undergo further review and consideration.<\/p>\n

Only committee members can submit maps for the meeting agenda. Committee members may submit maps they create or sponsor from the public for consideration. Only sponsored maps created using the software provided by the county\u2019s consultant will be considered.<\/p>\n

There will be a total of eight biweekly map discussion meetings through August 2025. The committee is using a data-driven approach to evaluate current district boundaries, propose alternatives and recommend two new commission districts to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners.<\/p>\n

The Redistricting Advisory Committee will submit a final recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners with a Board vote in September 2025.<\/p>\n
