Most shelters around the state, including OCAS, are struggling with high numbers of dogs in their care.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, August 8, 2025, fees will be reduced to $8 for all animals. The shelter will open at 8 a.m. and stay open until 8 p.m., four hours longer than usual. The event will provide residents with an entire day to meet the shelter pets, interact with them, and potentially find a pet their forever home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN: <\/strong>Friday, August 8, 2025 \u2013 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE: <\/strong>Orange County Animal Services, 2769 Conroy Road, Orlando, 32839<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHOTO\/VIDEO OPPORTUNITIES: <\/strong>Interested journalists can venture into the kennels and get b-roll and pictures of the shelter pets.
