\"\"$460,000 Committed to Rebuilding Together Greater Florida<\/em><\/p>\n

Orange County, FL<\/strong> – The Orange County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously on December 2, 2025, to allocate $460,000 from the County’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) to help low-to-moderate income homeowners receive much-needed housing repairs.<\/p>\n

The funding commitment supports Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s Safe at Home program, enabling the local nonprofit to make minor home rehabilitation repairs for at least 15 owner-occupied single-family homes throughout the county.<\/p>\n

This marks the second consecutive year the County has committed AHTF resources to the program. Last year, it received an allocation of $760,000 to repair as many as 30 homes.<\/p>\n

“We are profoundly grateful to the Orange County Board of Commissioners for their steadfast commitment to affordable housing and community resilience,” said Anthony Peral, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s Vice President of Regional Programs. “Orange County’s support not only strengthens our partnership but also expands our capacity to preserve housing stock, repair homes, improve family health, and revitalize neighborhoods across the region. Together, we are building stronger, healthier communities where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.”<\/p>\n

The County established the Affordable Housing Trust Fund in 2020 to provide the financial resources and leverage necessary to create and preserve affordable housing units in Orange County. To date, the County has allocated $58 million to more than a dozen projects \u2014 creating nearly 2,400 affordable units and preserving dozens of existing homes.<\/p>\n
