Orange County, FL<\/strong> \u2014 Orange County\u2019s Division of Building Safety has earned accreditation from the International Accreditation Service (IAS), making Orange County the most populous County in Florida, and among the largest in the nation, to receive the designation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIAS Accreditation validates the hard work, discipline, and professionalism of our entire team,\u201d said Building Safety Manager Alan C. Plante. \u201cThis achievement confirms that our policies, procedures, and daily operations meet nationally recognized standards. Orange County residents can be assured that their local building department excels in customer service and in the consistent and fair application of the Florida Building Code.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just three counties in Florida have achieved this accreditation, and among them, Orange County serves the largest population. This internationally recognized achievement underscores Building Safety\u2019s commitment to seeking the highest standards for quality, consistency, and accountability.<\/p>\n

Customer experience was a key component of the IAS evaluation. Orange County\u2019s customer surveys averaged 4.5 out of 5 across permitting, plan review, and inspections, reflecting a strong commitment to service, quality, and responsiveness.<\/p>\n

IAS accreditation demonstrates that building departments have met the national standard and are competent to provide public safety services for their communities.
