\"\"WHAT:
\n<\/strong>Orange County Government will celebrate a major milestone towards improving public health with the grand opening of its new Mosquito Control facility on Monday, May 11, 2026.<\/p>\n

The new facility will feature an updated infrastructure, including a larger laboratory, and an added insectary that will allow staff to breed and raise mosquitoes in a controlled environment for research and testing purposes. The expanded laboratory will enhance the division\u2019s ability to monitor mosquito-borne diseases.<\/p>\n

Mayor Jerry L. Demings will deliver remarks prior to the official ribbon-cutting, marking the opening of the new facility. The Orange County Board of County Commissioners Orange County Mosquito Control Manager Steve Harrison will also provide insight into how the new facility will positively impact the Pine Hills community and expand services across Orange County.<\/p>\n
