Orange County, FL \u2013 <\/strong>Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs will provide the opening remarks for the Hispanic Business Conference at 8:30 a.m. and will later open the 2014 Hispanic Business & Consumer Expo during the celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the North Building of the Orange County Convention Center, 9400 Universal Blvd., Orlando.<\/p>\n

The Hispanic Business Conference and the Consumer Expo are hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO). The primary focus of the Business Conference is to enhance economic development and expand business opportunities for local entrepreneurs. Conference attendees may participate in sessions featuring distinguished business speakers, economic development experts and a luncheon with up to 400 business leaders from Central Florida.<\/p>\n

The Hispanic Business & Consumer Expo, will take place April 11 through 13, boasts more than 300 booths, over 12,000 attendees, and continues to be one of the largest Hispanic trade shows in the United States. The Consumer Expo is open 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 11; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrange County is proud of its strong relationships with the many business organizations and leaders within our Hispanic community,\u201d Mayor Jacobs said. \u201cThe diversity of our Central Florida population is one of our key strengths. From vibrant cultural offerings to job creation and entrepreneurship, the Hispanic and Latino community are essential to Orange County\u2019s success.\u201d<\/p>\n

As one of the signature convention center events at our Center of Hospitality, many Orange County employees will be greeting attendees at our large pavilion at the Hispanic Expo to share information about the County\u2019s services, civic engagement, and volunteer opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrange County\u2019s continued support allows our chamber to better serve the Hispanic business community in Central Florida,\u201d said HCCMO President Diana Bolivar.<\/p>\n
