Orange County, FL<\/strong> \u2013 Orange County Utilities invites eligible Orange County residents* to its Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Community Collection Event on Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orange County Services Building located at 475 West Story Road, Ocoee, FL 34761. Participants will have the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste \u2013 free of charge.<\/p>\n

The following items will be accepted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paint
\nCooking oil
\nFlammable liquids
\nCleaning fluids
\nPesticides<\/td>\n		Pool chemicals
\nVehicle batteries
\nDrain cleaners
\nBrake fluids & antifreeze
\nPropane tanks (20-lb. max)<\/td>\n		Stereos
\nTelevisions**
\nComputers
\nTelephones
\nDVD players<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Participants are prohibited from bringing biologically active materials, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, ammunition, fireworks, emergency flares, prescription drugs, or pressurized cylinders. An item is considered electronic waste if it contains a circuit board.<\/p>\n

*Eligible participants include residents of unincorporated Orange County and the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, and Winter Garden only. Proof of residency is required.<\/p>\n

**Rear-projection TVs are not accepted.<\/p>\n
