Orange County, FL<\/strong> – Mayor Teresa Jacobs and the Board of County Commissioners approved the finalized $3.4 billion Orange County budget for fiscal year 2014-2015 in a unanimous vote by all those who were present. The new fiscal year begins October 1, 2014. The budget reflects the continuing economic growth seen in Orange County, which has led to increased property values and an improved employment rate. With nearly 60 million people visiting Orange County in 2013, tourism reached new heights and visitors helped drive sales and tourist tax collections to new record amounts.
