Engage Orange: Ask Questions Provide Feedback and Receive Updates

Comunidad y Servicios

Orange County residents now have more ways than ever to stay informed and be part of the conversation regarding development proposals, planning programs, environmental protection efforts, and more.

The County’s Planning, Environmental and Development Services (PEDS) Department has launched Orange Se Involucra, a brand-new community engagement hub that allows residents to provide feedback and ask questions, participate in surveys, share stories and experiences, and upload photos.

Registered users get even more benefits from the platform by receiving monthly newsletters with updates about development proposals, PEDS programs, and survey opportunities.

"This is more than just a new website," said Tanya Wilson, Director of Orange County's PEDS Department. "We see this tool as a new channel to keep the public connected with our team while staying informed."

In 2024, the PEDS Department conducted a review of its public notification efforts. Mayor Jerry L. Demings and county commissioners challenged leaders within the department to develop more innovative ways to engage the public.

Engage Orange was born from these discussions. "Engage Orange gives our residents greater input in shaping the decisions that impact our neighborhoods and further enhance Orange County's future," Wilson said.
