Resident Set to Return to Newly Renovated Home After Orange County Repaired Damage From Hurricane Ian
Orange County, FL – Through its Orange County Recovers program, Orange County has completed repairs and renovations on a home damaged by Hurricane Ian in 2022 and the homeowner is thrilled to be moving back home.
Sixty-four-year-old Lorenzo Turner, who uses a wheelchair, had lived in his home for 36 years before his roof was significantly damaged by Hurricane Ian, causing extensive water damage and the need for thousands of dollars in repairs. He remained in his home after the hurricane, dealing with constant leaks while recovering from a stroke. Through Orange County Recovers, Mr. Turner now has a repaired roof and newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms.
Media is invited to capture video and interview Mr. Turner, who will return for the first time since construction began, and be presented with the keys to his newly renovated home.
