WHAT: Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and District 5 Commissioner Emily Bonilla will host the groundbreaking ceremony for the East Orange District Park Recreation Center, which will be located on a 243-acre property.
The State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity appropriated $1 million that will be combined with $1 million of Orange County’s INVEST funds* to help build a 5,000-square-foot recreation center. In addition, $250,000 legislative appropriation was received for a concession building and restroom. El parque también incluirá dos campos de fútbol iluminados y un estacionamiento. Total construction cost is $3.6 million.
