Ceremonia de Inicio de Obras del Deputy Scott Pine Community Park
QUÉ: la Alcaldesa del Condado de Orange, Teresa Jacobs, la Comisionada del Distrito 1, Betsy VanderLey, y el Excomisionado del Distrito 1, Scott Boyd, estarán acompañados por el Sheriff del Condado de Orange, Jerry Demings, y funcionarios de Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Orange (OCPS) para la ceremonia de inicio de obras del Deputy Scott Pine Community Park, el cual estará emplazado en una propiedad con una superficie de 19.5 acres.
El parque situado en la zona oeste del Condado de Orange se erguirá en homenaje al Ayudante del Sheriff del Condado de Orange, Scott Pine, que falleció el 11 de febrero de 2014, tras responder a una llamada en un vecindario de la zona suroeste del Condado de Orange. La viuda del Ayudante del Sheriff Pine y sus tres hijos estarán presentes en la ceremonia de inicio de la obras.
Orange County and Orange County Public Schools will share the 19.5-acre park, which will have two multi-purpose fields. One is for soccer, and the other will serve as the off-site football stadium for Windermere High School.
Total cost of the park is $9.7 million with $3.7 million being funded by OCPS. In addition, $3.7 million for the park is funded by INVEST dollars. *INVEST in Our Home for Life is the $300 million initiative that was launched by Mayor Teresa Jacobs at the State of the County in 2015. The Mayor earmarked $20 million for construction and enhancements of parks and recreational facilities countywide.
Completion is expected in early 2018.
