Refugios para Animales en la Florida Central Comienzan el Año Nuevo con un Motivo para Celebrar

Orange County, Fla – Animal shelters in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, along with the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando nearly doubled their adoption goal this past December after embarking on a collective “Home for the Holidays” campaign to match homeless animals with loving families. With the ring of the New Year, the shelters were pleased to confirm the combined “Home for the Holidays” efforts resulted in the adoption of 1,964 – nearly double the original collective goal of 1,000 adoptions.

Knowing that many families consider expanding their households during the holiday season with a new fur-ever friend, the shelters took to social and news media, expanded video and photography efforts in an effort to ensure that deserving homeless animals were at the forefront of a family's attention when making that important decision. In addition to promotion, adoption fees were also reduced.

In response, the shelters today issued a heart-felt thank you message to all adopters on the Orange County Animal Services Facebook page.
