Art in the Atrium Opening Reception: “One Soul, Two Bodies: Que Throm and Cicero Greathouse and the Rise of the Orlando Art Scene”

Arte y Cultura del Condado de Orange, in collaboration with the Junta de Revisión de Arte Público y la Museos de Historia y Arte de Maitland, presents Art in the Chambers, featuring “One Soul, Two Bodies: Que Throm and Cicero Greathouse and the Rise of the Orlando Art Scene.”

An opening reception will be held in the Chambers Gallery at the Orange County Administration Center on Monday, February 16, 2026, 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 5:45 p.m. Admission to the reception is free, but es necesario inscribirse con antelación.

According to Dan Hess, Chief Curator, "Spanning careers as prolific artists, world travelers, and devoted arts advocates, Que Throm and Cicero Greathouse had a profound impact on Central Florida's cultural landscape. Their diverse and evocative work bears witness to lives well-traveled. From the bustling, fragrant markets of Morocco to the serene peaks of Nepal, their journeys across five continents infused their art with a global perspective, bridging cultures and inviting viewers to explore the world through their eyes. As a couple, they mentored young artists and served their community, including in key roles at A&H, both as artists and as philanthropists. And, they never stopped creating, finding inspiration in their travels, their community, and each other."
