There was extensive flooding in the Orlo-Vista community due to Hurricane Irma. Orange County Fire Rescue (OCFR) and the National Guardsmen helped rescue more than 135 individuals, as well as their animals. The flooding in Orlo-Vista has now receded considerably and water is no longer in the backyards of the homes. Orange Public Works continues to assist on this issue.
