Orange County Parks and Recreation has the following fun events and community meetings:

• Orange County Parks & Recreation and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission join together to bring you Senior Fish4Fun for ages 55 and older at Centro Renaissance para Ancianos. This is a once-a-month free catch-n-release fishing event! Fishing poles and bait provided while supplies last, or participants can bring their own fresh-water fishing gear. Questions? • All ages are welcome to join in the Barnyard Banter program at Fort Christmas Historical Park on Saturday, September 20, from 1-2 p.m.! This month's free event, The Life of Florida's Pioneers, a presentation about how early settlers thrived and survived in Florida. Visite Parque Histórico Fort Christmas for more information. • Fish4Fun is a free catch-and-release fishing event for ages 15 and younger that takes place at four parks (see below - children can participate in any or all four events); each on-site registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; fishing tournament 8-10 a.m.; and winners recognized 10 a.m. We encourage family and friends to fish with their registered child and to bring your own fishing gear if you have it; supplies will be offered to registered children, while supplies last. • You, your family and friends are invited to the FREE Family Fun and Resource Fair at Barnett Park, presented by the Orange County Community and Family Services Department on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy free food and resources (while supplies last), activities and performances. Orange County Human Resources will be on site so come explore career opportunities and apply online for jobs in the Community and Family Services Department, including Parks and Recreation! • Dance the night away as you enjoy the beautiful music of The Crew on the fourth Saturday of the month, from 6-9 p.m., at Centro Renaissance para Ancianos's ballroom! The event is open to adults ages 18 and older, cost: $20 exact cash per person at the door. Come enjoy a cool atmosphere of dance, fun and live music provided by The Crew.
