Orange County Public Works has undertaken a traffic study to evaluate existing operational and safety concerns raised by residents in the Bithlo area. The study will provide viable recommendations to enhance operations and safety in the residential neighborhood.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate crash, speed, traffic volume and transportation data, along with field observations, to identify potential improvements for key roadway segments in the Bithlo area. Viable options may include speed calming measures, pedestrian amenities, lighting improvements, traffic control signs and pavement enhancements. Community feedback will help Orange County identify solutions that are appropriate for the neighborhood.
The Bithlo Traffic Study is currently underway. Orange County is sharing completed engineering evaluations and gathering community feedback to help determine appropriate recommendations for the area.
Orange County will hold two community meetings for the Bithlo Traffic Study. One meeting will focus on residents south of SR 50, and the other will focus on residents north of SR 50.
